It was a sight to behold — the spark of curiosity and passion igniting in the eyes of the students at Jooro High School during our recent DIGIKNOW digital literacy session. Despite having little prior exposure to the digital world, their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were truly infectious.
Last Friday marked another exciting milestone for our DIGIKNOW program at Teens-Launch Africa, an initiative dedicated to bridging the digital divide and empowering young minds with invaluable digital skills. Our team visited Jooro High School to sensitize the students about the boundless opportunities that exist in today’s digital landscape.
As we introduced them to the latest technologies transforming our lives, the essential digital tools driving innovation, and the diverse career paths they could explore by becoming digitally literate, the students were highly engaged. Their thought-provoking questions and insightful observations demonstrated a genuine thirst for knowledge that left us truly inspired.
One student raised their hand and asked, “How can learning these digital skills help me pursue my dream of becoming a doctor?” Another inquired about the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of various industries. Their curiosity and desire to understand how digital literacy could unlock their potential were truly motivating for our team.
